The Digisonic® SP Multi-Array implant is a special version of the cochlear implant used in cases where the cochlea has become ossified.
The device has 24 channels of stimulation spread over 2 electrode bearers. The surgical technique consists of inserting these electrode-arrays into the cochlea block. The advantage of this is to increase the differentiation between electrodes. The implant is custom made to measure (12+12) according to pre-implant imagery. Digisonic® SP Multi-Array is compatible with Digi SP and Digi SP'K processors. |
